DIRECTIONS FOR LEAVING A COMMENT ON THE LAST LEAF GARDENER

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog and for your willingness to share your comments.  If you are new to commenting, it can be daunting, especially on ones like mine that are powered by blogger.

Before you read these directions, I must confess that I have had trouble from time to time posting on various blogs, and that I have lost a lot of my "prose" to cyberspace. Now, I try to remember to create my post in my Pages (I have a Mac) but would use Word if I had a PC.  Sometimes I actually create a comment in my MAIL Program and email it to myself as the spell check is automatic and spelling is not my strongest asset. (Another good reason to create a comment somewhere else, although most posting fields can be previewed for spelling.)

Then I copy what I have written into the "post field" on a given blog, and if it does not show up, or if it disappears, at least I have my text. Having said this, I don't want to scare you away from weighing in on my blog, so, without further ado, here are the directions:

1. Below every blog entry this (pictured below) is what appears:

2. If you click on "0" comments  or  (or "2" comments, "6" comments etc) a dialogue box will drop down which looks like this:

However, it may look like this (depending on if comments have or have not been made):

3. The next thing which will appear is this empty field for you to write your comment, but please note that below it there is a "request by blogger" ****  for you to chose a profile. This is just a "fancy" way of asking you how you want to be identified. Choose the drop down arrow which will give you a choice on how you wish to be known. You can choose your name, your name accompanied with your website/blog (URL), or you may post your comment/reaction  anonymously.

**** BTW, I have been told by one of my readers as well as an expert in media "to suggest that one select their Profile BEFORE filling in the comment section. This way, if it "bombs-out", thoughtful work won’t be lost."

4. After  clicking on “Post Comment”, the blogger system displays a Word Verification screen which requires the Commenter to enter the characters of the displayed, random word.

5. Only after submitting the correct word will the comment actually be logged into the system.

6. Please note that after you have done these things, a message appears  which says, "Your comment will be visible after approval." All this means is that it will be posted within 24 hours.

THAT'S IT!

Once again I truly appreciate your taking the time to read my blog and to weigh in with your thoughts. I respond to all my comments within my blog; however, if you would also like me to acknowledge it in a personal email to you, please let me know.

P.S.  The Post  a Comment field that  you see at  the bottom of this page refers to this page only, so, if you have questions still about commenting in general, please feel free to ask, but after reading these directions, you may click the back arrow on your screen to get back to The Last Leaf Gardener Blog Comment field that you left to come here as pictured below:
